Al-Balqa Applied University was founded in 1997. The university campus is situated on a picturesque mountain peak of Balqa heights (approx 970m. ASL) with captivating views all-round. The university is located 25 km north-west of Amman. Students started the enrollment in the Faculty of Planning and Management in 1998. The first group graduated in 2002. The Faculty also initiated a postgraduate program in Planning in the year 1999. Today; the overall population of students at the faculty has reached 2100. The Faculty is enthusiastically involved in the first International Conference in Planning. The conference is to be held on the campus. Interested participants are invited to submit papers individually or jointly with others. The content of the paper should reflect any aspect of the below given themes. Papers will be reviewed by a scientific committee and all successful papers will be published in the conference proceedings. Papers will only be accepted on the basis that the author(s) will attend the conference.
